EXCUSE ME BUT THIS RING. NO ONE NOTICED IT?????
Actually I’ve seen people mention it since the first episode.
It’s Capaldi’s wedding ring. He never takes it off, even when acting.
To add to the story, he refuses to take it off because when his acting career was struggling, his wife never gave up on him. When he landed his first major gig, he decided to not take it off, to represent he was there because of his wife’s support.
This is beautiful. And on the topic of sleepovers and kids getting stuck in uncomfortable situations: My mom and I had a code, ever since my first sleepover. I would always call home to say goodnight, and if I asked “How is the cat doing?”, it meant that I wasn’t comfortable and I wanted her to pick me up. I did use this code a few times, and whenever I did, my mom came up with the excuses for me. I was never stuck at a sleepover I didn’t want to be at - and as a child with anxiety and social phobia, this was a great system.
posts like these are the reason i love tumblr
Once, I was at a friend’s birthday party, and they began to play strip poker and 7 minutes in heaven and immature stuff like that. I am the biggest virgin that you’ve ever known, so I pretended like my phone was vibrating, punched in my mom’s speed dial, and when she answered, I said “Hey mom, whatcha need? *Pause* oh, okay. So I have to come home now? Yeah, sorry, I’ll clean my room right when I get there. *pause* ten minutes? Okay, that works. See ya.” and she understood exactly what I wanted, and she came and picked me up, and even scolded me in front of my friends for ‘not cleaning my room’. I’ve used this so many times, it isn’t funny. My mom is so understanding each time.
And now I must hug my mother and post 5 million mom appreciation posts.
I just discovered this really awesome site. Emotionalbaggagecheck.com
It’s a site that lets you leave the things that are bothering you anonymously.
When someone chooses to “carry your baggage" they’ll get your submission, and send a song and a personal note to your email address through the site (it’s never shown publicly) that may help you with what you’re going through.
I think this is an amazing idea!
Don’t keep scrolling past this cause it’s actually worth checking out! :)
This is actually really helpful; your email is kept private and there’s no log in or sign up required. Even typing my problems out seemed to help, and you can always change your mind at any point in time.
The site itself has a very calming atmosphere and I’d recommend it to all of my followers who either like helping people or have a few things to get off their chest (or both!)
This idea really is pretty amazing.
My mum used to tell me that if I ever feel sad or angry or need to cry just out of nowhere and I don’t know why, that might just be my spirit taking on something that today someone else was not able to carry all on their own, and that when this happens every now and again we should feel privileged to help and to also know that one day someone we’ve never met might be crying for us.
Cleaner version of the Jason Bell photo. [x]
Nice shot but looks too much like a bodice ripper romance novel for my taste. Although I realize that was the purpose. I like Benedict when he looks like his sweet, cheeky self.
I like him both ways. He has a dorky side, and a sexy side. He’s an actor after all.
